Enjoy New Year’s Eve at Marjorie This Year
When I think of how I would like to spend the Eve of the New Year, I think of Marjorie. There are many reasons, and I am most struck by the words of a dear friend, who shared that he could think of no better place to mark the passing of a year, especially this year. My friend, Tom commented on how special he feels when he dines at Marjorie. He loves the deliberately prepared plates, the carefully selected wines that we offer, and like many other fans of Marjorie, he appreciates the beautifully constructed cocktails. Being in a place like that, was for him the ultimate way to honor the passing of a year, and to anticipate the joys and prospers of the upcoming 2011.
For me a perfect New Year’s Eve starts with a sip of great Champagne (and we are currently pouring Nicholas Feuillatte by the glass, featuring little bottles of Laurent Perrier) or some other bubbly (yes, there is sparkling sake and prosecco!). I love to have beautiful and deliberately plated food, and of course, I want my dessert.
Ending a meal at Marjorie with a delicious dessert created by Marjorie Pastry Chef, Taylor Cheney is a wise decision. I love to pair dessert with an after dinner sip of vin santo, moscato d’asti or port. On the colder nights, I go straight for a shot (er…I mean sip) of whisky!
